The Ypsi Area Street Rods thirty-fifth annual Show & Shine will be Sunday May 4, 2014, in Ypsilanti’s Riverside Park. This year’s event will support the local Cystic Fibrosis Association. The gates open at 9AM, registration is open until 1PM, and the show closes at 4 PM. If you pre-register by April 15, the fee is just $15. It is $20 at the gate the day of the show. This is always a fun event for those showing their cars as well as for spectators. Admission for spectators is only $2. There is parking in lots both in Depot Town and the Downtown area. Riverside park is centrally located along the Huron River and accessible from both areas. Activities included a swap meet, NSRA vehicle inspection, muffler rapping, DJ, food, vendors, and an auction. You can register to win prizes, talk to the owners of the cars and just enjoy the activities. You must be present to win any of the prizes.
From the Author: Riverside Park is the favored location for all the Spring and summer auto shows. People come from all over for these events. The Parish House Inn bed and breakfast is just a couple of blocks away , and is an ideal location for visiting these shows.
