Looking for the perfect winter outing with friends? Or searching for a unique, local gift for the wine lover on your list? Then the Wreath Fineries at The Wineries along the Shawangunk Wine Trail is a holiday must! This annual event occurs in November and December.

Register online, choosing the starting winery of your choice and whether you want a one or two day experience. At your starting winery, pick up a wreath and souvenir wine glass. At each of the 14 wineries, be sure to collect an ornament to adorn your wreath. The wineries have beautiful ornaments; many are unique and embellished with the individual winery’s name or logo.

Once you have received your ornament, step up to the sommelier and receive samplings of the winery’s most notable wines. Most wineries offer 3-1 oz. samplings. Also, each winery offers a snack to enjoy with your wine. Don’t forget to ask where the gift shops are to pick up your wine-themed souvenirs and bottles of wine. Many wineries also offer a discount when you purchase multiple bottles of wine.

For groups who are excited about attending the event, please be aware that buses with over 20 passengers will not be accepted. Also, the following wineries prefer groups of less than 10: Adair Vineyards, Applewood Winery, Brimstone Hill Vineyards, Glorie Farm Winery, Stoutridge Vineyard, and Whitecliff Vineyard. Groups of 10 or more should call 845-256-8456 to make arrangements.
