Description:
For many years the S.S. William A. Irvin hauled iron ore and coal on the Great Lakes. During the month of October it turns into a haunted ship tour for only those with courage and bravery. It’s a very scary adventure as you take part in a self-guided tour beginning in the engine room and working your way through dark hallways and scary departments of the ship. We’ve heard that steel doors slam, the floors creak, lights often flicker, screams can be heard constantly and the ghosts on the ship appear nightly!
Paranormal sightings have been recorded on the ship and investigations are ongoing by the Duluth Paranormal Society, the Midwest Paranormal Files and the Minnesota Paranormal Study Group. There is a story about a sailor who died in 1964 but haunts the ship even today.
The haunted ship tours take place on Wednesdays, Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays in October and the ticket price is $10. The tours begin at 6:30 p.m. each day except on Saturdays when the tours begin at 4 p.m. If you bring a canned good for charity, you will receive $1 off your ticket price.
From the Author: Take a canned good and get $1 off your admission ticket. Cash only is accepted as they do not accept credit cards. No children under 12 without a parent. The haunted ship is not handicap accessible.
