Twelve local farms will be opening their doors (and barnyards) to guests on Monday September 1st. This is the 6th Annual Meet Yer Eats Farm Tour. You buy their goods at City Market on Saturday mornings but this event gives you the opportunity to see where all “the magic” happens. Many of the farms have special programs for you to enjoy. For instance, Bellair Farm will take you on a tour of their egg laying operation and their CSA program. Caromont Farm – widely known for it’s excellent cheeses – will provide a dairy tour, a tasting tent and will have an open house with the baby goats. Radical Roots – great produce and herbs – will provide a tour of their farm.
This is a rain or shine event so bring gear appropriate to the weather.
