Description:

The St. Louis County Historical Society collects, makes presentations and preserves the history of St. Louis County which is the largest county in size in the state of Minnesota. Each month they offer a lunch with the history people at their location and various speakers offer their expertise in their chosen field. Authors of the book entitled Minnesota Winery Stories will discuss their book this month.

Authors Diane Lynch and Dick Osgood have careers that are centered around the environment. They have collaborated on a book about the history of wine making in Minnesota. They will discuss the locations and varieties of grapes in Minnesota and how the wine making industry began and has grown through the years to become very popular in Minnesota.

Theatre-style seating is available and participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch. The event begins at noon at The Depot located at The St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center at 506 West Michigan Street in Downtown Duluth. The event lasts an hour and is free. There is lots more to tour during your visit to The Depot which is open seven days a week.

Visit their website for more information about the history of this organization, staff, events, calendar, donations, contributions, gifts, and more.
