Description:
A great place to be on Friday & Saturday, May 8th & 9th, 2015 is the Landis Valley Museum’s Herb and Garden Faire. It all began 28 years ago when the Heirloom Seed Project had extra plants that they couldn’t find room for so the plants were offered for sale. Others joined in with their extras.
This year plants supplied by about 80 vendors will be available for shoppers and some hard-to-find varieties or heirloom plants will be displayed for purchasing. Flower vendors will be spread out across the historic village over the museum site. In some of the buildings you will be able to purchase jewelry, garden art and herbal skin care products.
You are also welcome to tour the gardens at the museum which are cared for by the Heritage Seed Project or you can listen to one of the informative speakers. Much activity and pleasure will be yours if you are a flower or herb lover. This fest has become one of the most popular horticulture events in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Don’t miss it!
There is a $10 admission fee, free for ages 5 and under. Open from 9AM to 5PM.
From the Author: Beautifully restored buildings on the museum grounds along with the displays of flowers and herbs is a pleasure experience to take in.
