Description:
Featuring folkloric dancers, live Latino music, authentic food and crafts, and even an exotic petting zoo, the Greater St. Louis Hispanic Festival 2014 is a celebration you won’t want to miss!
This exciting annual celebration of culture offers three days full of fun. It will feature seven live Latino bands, traditional dancers both performing and teaching dances from Mexico, Bolivia, and Colombia, and a variety of food and drinks from Latin and South America. Other attractions include folk arts and crafts, information booths from several cultural organizations and government agencies, and a children’s area featuring Dora the Explorer and Diego.
The festival’s mission is to celebrate the common heritage of Hispanic nations and to increase regional awareness of the cultural contributions made by Hispanic musicians, dancers, artists, and chefs. The proceeds raised are used to fund scholarships distributed to college-bound students and under-privileged families.
The festival is open Friday, September 26th and Saturday, September 27th from 10 am to 10 pm and Sunday, September 28th from 11 am to 9 pm. For more information, please click the web link above.
