Description:
Fairbanks definitely has talent and you can enjoy some of that live nightly during July and August at the Pioneer Park for free! Every evening at 7 pm, local musicians come to share their skills with anyone who happens by the Gazebo near the Gold Rush Town in Pioneer Park. This theme park is open seasonally and is buzzing with all kinds of activity. Located at the end of the river walk along First Avenue in the downtown area, the pavilions and civic center are arenas for exhibitions, cultural events, square dancing or ballroom galas, summer picnics and barbeques, birthday parties and weddings. A wide variety of people in the community offer up their particular genre of music, ranging from rock, country to classical violin and even accordion. Because the gazebo is centrally located in the park right by the historic buildings that house gift shops and eateries, you can enjoy the music while you stroll through the park. The acoustics carry well so you can either sit down and relax on park benches throughout Gold Rush Town, or amble through the shops and listen. Give yourself a break and stop by to listen to some of our local talent perform a concert any evening throughout July and August.
From the Author: I happened through and was able to enjoy some of the antique cars on display while listening to the music produced by two men and their guitars.
