Thanks to the dedication of local Jazz enthusiasts the 3rd annual Chestertown Jazz Festival is just around the corner. Mark your calendars: September 6, 2014, starting at 10 am until 6ish.

The lineup is once again stellar:

Sherry Winston, Headliner

but also Gregor Huebner, the Todd Marcus Orchestra,

Lena Seikaly , the 100 Voice Choir of Kent County and more.

This daylong festival is held at Willmer Park on the banks of the beautiful Chester River. This is an outdoor venue but seating will be available in the tent should the weather turn a bit rainy. You are encouraged to bring your own chairs or picnic blankets to sit on the grass. The setting is just magnificent.

Local food and beer and wine will be available to purchase. Ordering tickets online, ahead of time is highly recommended and you can save $5 per person at the same time. It’s a great deal. For those that enjoy good jazz in an intimate setting it’s the perfect event.
