Tired of Tim Hortons?  Had enough Starbucks?   Lewiston has the Orange Cat Coffee Company.  They are open 6:00 AM until 6:00 PM.  Robin and Michael can most often be found there in the morning preparing huge vegan muffins, scones, and large cookies for their customers to enjoy with their coffee, or tea, or hot chocolate.  I swear the list of  specialty beverages changes with the season.  Not a coffee drinker? there are juices, hot chocolate and a wide variety of tea flavors to choose from.  Not tea bags, they put tea leaves into a little bag  just for you.   Now that you have made your choice, enjoy your beverage  with one of  the day’s vegan  lunch features; salads in summer, soups in winter, and wraps whenever they show up on the board.

Taking your drink or lunch outside to sit at one of the umbrella tables and watch the world go by is a favorite local pastime, as long as the weather permits, and Lewistonians are a hardy lot.    If you aren’t as hardy, there is inside seating and, in summer, air conditioning.  Oh! and before you go, don’t forget to pick up a bag of beans (or tea leaves) to take home with you.
