Located on picturesque Georgetown Island, in one of Maine’s prettiest seaside villages, The Five Islands Lobster Company is on every list of the the state’s “10 best lobster shacks.” It’s been written up in Travel and Leisure, featured on the Travel Channel, etc.
The dining here is casual — order your lobster (or fried clams, shrimp, scallops), find a picnic table with a great view of the working lobster wharf, and prepare to feast on seafood that couldn’t be fresher.
A few non-seafood items are available — hamburgers, peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches for the kids, but the real draw here is the shellfish. Great Maine-made ice cream is also available.
From the Author: This place has been a favorite of tourists and locals alike for years. The village of Five Islands is beautiful; the seafood couldn't be fresher -- you watch the lobstermen haul in their catch while you're waiting for your lunch or dinner. We live just around the corner from Five Islands and can't get enough of the fresh lobster. lobster rolls, and fried onion rings!
