The Greater Downtown Council is sponsoring the 5th annual “Eat Downtown Duluth Restaurant Week” taking place in Duluth Minnesota beginning Monday, March 31, 2014 and continuing twelve days through Friday, April 11, 2014. While you are in town enjoying a romantic getaway, vacation, honeymoon, birthday or anniversary, you may enjoy outstanding appetizers, delicious entrees and delectable desserts all for one low price. During these twelve days, many downtown and Canal Park restaurants, bars and lounges will offer lunches for just $10 and dinners for just $20 (and last year some even offered dinners for $10). This special event encourages visitors and locals to eat “Downtown” and support local Duluth businesses.

Some of our favorite restaurants (and favorites of our Inn guests) such as Bellisio’s Italian Restaurant and Wine Bar in Canal Park, Midi Restaurant in the Fitger’s Brewery Complex, Hanabi Japanese and Sushi Bar in Downtown Duluth, the 301 Restaurant at the Sheraton Hotel on Superior Suite, the original City Hall now Tycoons Alehouse and Eatery, and the famous Pickwick Restaurant and Pub have participated in the past and we’re excited to see their menus for this yearly event.

Many of the restaurants offering the special pricing can be accessed from the Duluth Lakewalk so you can take in the sights and sounds of Lake Superior during your dining experience. We are quite sure that our guests staying with us at The Firelight Inn on Oregon Creek Bed and Breakfast will take advantage of these special restaurant prices as they choose dining options during their stay.
