Description:
Castle Danger Brewery is located in the town of Two Harbors, Minnesota just 26 miles North of Duluth and along the beautiful shore of Lake Superior. Back in the day, most travel up and down the shore of Lake Superior was done by boat. There were dangerous cliffs that produced even more dangerous reefs that were well known by the ship captains as their lives were at stake when they traveled in the big lake. They would stay far from the shore away from the reefs to ensure safe travel. Castle Danger Brewing got its name from those cliffs and the town of Castle Danger where the brewery was first located.
Castle Danger Brewery does it all and does it well! Great beer, and lots of it, the brewery, brewery tours, the taproom, the store, and music and events all in one location. In the summertime, sit by the shore of Lake Superior and take it all in. Castle Danger Brewing doesn’t have a restaurant but they encourage patrons to order from local restaurants for delivery to the brewery. They do offer chips and pretzels to enjoy with your beer.
Some of the beer that you will enjoy at Castle Danger Brewing is: Castle Cream Ale, Ode PIA, 17-7 Pale Ale, Danger Ale, George Hunter Stout, George Hunter Stout Nitro, White Pin Project PIA, CDB Pils, Russian Rye and Saison. Growlers are available for purchase. Brewery tours are available on Fridays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 5 p.m. They last about 30 minutes and can accommodate up to 30 people and cost $3.
Castle Danger Brewing is open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday their hours are noon to 10 p.m. Make this brewery your next stop on your trip to Minnesota!
