After you have explored Duluth Minnesota, make time to enjoy a leisure carriage ride provided by Top Hat Carriages. The company is in Canal Park every other day and every other weekend (as they share providing carriage rides with another company). The horses arrive early afternoon and are available until 10:00 p.m. The carriages can be found in the parking lot adjacent to the Lake Superior Maritime Museum.

A 20 minute carriage ride will take you around the main street of Canal Park and the Lakewalk along Lake Superior and the cost is $30. A $40 carriage ride will take you through Canal Park, Duluth’s Lakewalk and to the William A. Irvin tour ship and back and takes about 30 minutes. A $55 ride lasts 45 minutes and includes a ride to the Aquarium along with Canal Park, the Lake Walk and the ore tour ship. I suggest you go all out and pay $80 for an hour ride to include all the above, a ride along Superior Street in Downtown Duluth to the Rose Garden and Leif Ericson Park. They will provide a blanket if its cool and you can just enjoy the ride and all the folks who will be taking your photograph. The horses are beautiful and the carriage is so romantic!
