Autumn is a fun and beautiful time for running, especially in the breathtaking mountains of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. The weather is cooler without the stifling heat and humidity of summer, the leaves are brilliant in their fiery colors, and there’s a refreshing scent in the air that raises those endorphin levels even higher. Whether you’re a casual jogger or a seasoned running enthusiast, Waynesboro’s 2016 Fall Foliage Race is a great way to join fellow athletes, beat your personal best, and enjoy the view.
On October 8, 2016, this brisk fall run will begin at 8:15, a.m. and will take you through a series of Waynesboro’s neighborhoods in both a 5k run/walk and a 10k run/walk (as well as a 1/2 –mile Kids Fun Dash at 8:00am!). Your entry fee will include a race day t-shirt, fully stocked aid stations throughout the race, and post-race party with plenty of food and drink to re-fuel yourself.

Even if you’re not participating in the Fall Foliage Run, it’s a lot of fun to show up and support the runners and then head to the outdoor art displays of the down Waynesboro Fall Foliage Festival.
