You buy an empty bowl and enjoy a delicious dinner all for charity! On Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. you are invited to the 23rd annual Empty Bowl Fundraiser at The Depot on Michigan Street in Downtown Duluth Minnesota. You choose the beautiful hand made bowl that you like the best for $20 and then it is filled with yummy soup. If you want to see the entire selection of bowls, you can attend a wine and cheese reception the day before on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and purchase a bowl. The prices range from $25 to $100. There is also an opportunity to bid on a bowl at an online auction at their website.
Profits from this annual fundraiser go to the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank which annually feeds more than 4.2 million people in need that live in Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin.
This grand event is held at The Depot which is home to the St. Louis County Heritage and Arts Center and the Lake Superior Railroad Museum. The bowls for purchase will be placed in a gallery-style showing.
