The largest airshow in Minnesota for plane lovers and those who love a party in the sky will gather in Duluth Minnesota on August 23rd and 24th, 2014. The 2014 Duluth Airshow features the United States Navy Blue Angels this year along with featured pilots, jump teams, squadrons, and demonstrations. Airplanes and helicopters will be on display and make this airshow one not to miss.
There will be a United States Air Force F-22 Raptor demonstration along with the United States Navy leap frogs descending from the sky with bright yellow parachutes. The Jack Links Waco Jet will be on site at the Duluth International Airport and the Vanguard Squadron will be performing tricks with their famous smoke streams. The Coast Guard will present a SAR demonstration from their helicopter and a Liberty Jump Team will offer a Normandy tribute. Shockwave–the jet truck will be loud and exciting to watch as it makes its appearance at the Duluth Airshow this year. There will be exhibitors, food and gift vendors so everyone can get their special souvenir from the show.
The gates open at 9 a.m. both days and the flying begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday with identical shows. The Performer Party is open to the public on Saturday night beginning at 8:30 p.m. at Grandma’s Sports Garden in Canal Park.
Tickets are available online or on the telephone. Make plans to take in this great event in Duluth Minnesota!
From the Author: If you don't get a ticket for the airshow, you can watch the sky around Duluth for glimpses of the planes as they soar over the city and Lake Superior. Ask the Innkeepers at The Firelight Inn on Oregon Creek Bed and Breakfast for places to park and see the show away from the crowds!
