Description:
Each year for the past 22 years, the Merchant Square area of downtown Williamsburg, Virginia fills up with lawn chairs and coolers, brought by hundreds of locals and tourists alike, to enjoy an evening of music and fellowship.
This happens on Wednesday evenings, beginning July 9th all the way though August. July’s concerts feature wonderful artists such as RareMixx, Kings of Swing, Karnivale and Slapnation in that order.
In August each Wednesday evening will bring with it United States Military bands from the USAF and the US Army.
The concerts start at 7 pm so show up early with your outdoor event patrimonial to grab a good spot. They take place in Merchant Square right on DOG street. ( Duke of Gloucester )
There is no cost for the events and they are dog friendly so bring Fido to enjoy the evening air as well.
Join in on the fun – this is the 23rd year of summer fun in the setting sun for the Merchant Square free summer concert series.
From the Author: We have been enjoying these concerts for years! Stop in the cheese shop for some bread, cheese and wine to enjoy while you listen!
